X Minus One Science-Fiction-Serie (1955-1958). Remake und Nachfolgerin der NBC-Serie Dimension X otr_dimension. Ernest Kinoy und George Lefferts adaptierten, wie für Dimension X, Geschichten von Scifi-Autoren, wie Philip K. Dick, J.T. McIntosh, Robert A. Heinlein, Frederik Pohl und Theodore Sturgeon. Ab dem 22-04-1955 wurden 15 Episoden aus alten Skripten wiederholt. Bis zum 09-01-1958 wurden insgesamt 125 Sendungen aufgezeichnet. Fred Collins eröffnet die Fantasy-Geschichten über den Kosmos und die Marsianer mit einem Countdown. Die Scifi-Serie trägt zum Aufschwung des Genres und seiner Autoren in der Popkultur der 1950er Jahre bei. NBC sendete ab 1973 eine kurzzeitige Neuauflage. (sl)
